My name is Paula Moratti and I am the new lead vet at Palmerston North Pet Doctors. I completed my Veterinary Degree at Massey University, then worked in Palmerston North before venturing overseas to work and travel. My husband and I spent most of our time working in Scotland and really enjoyed all the adventures that came with it.
I have numerous hobbies including surfing, skiing, horse riding, squash and tennis. We have recently acquired a little border terrier puppy called Zoe, who keeps us on our toes, and I have a soft spot for Labrador dogs after having two of my own.
Claudia is originally from Argentina where she gained her first degree in veterinary science. She came to New Zealand in 1989 and completed a veterinary degree at Massey University and PhD in Companion Animal Clinical Nutrition. Claudia worked in research and teaching at the Centre for Feline Nutrition at Massey University for three years before joining the team here. Her main interests are feline and canine nutrition, and internal medicine, especially in elderly pets. Claudia has three dogs and one cat at home and enjoys good wine and food, travelling and going to the gym.
You'll find Sjaan doing all sorts of nursing and administrative stuff but one of her favourite roles is surgical and anaesthetic nursing. Sjaan is married to Sam and they have two beautiful daughters called Hannah and Beth. They share their home with their Great Dane Argo, two cats called Sugar and Jazza and a bunny named Blaze. Sjaan was born and bred in the Manawatu and grew up on a dairy farm at Oroua Downs.
Kylie worked in Nelson for many years before joining Pet Doctors, becoming a Team Leader. Kylie enjoys working with her great team and providing great service to clients and their furry family members.
Kylie has Lizzy, a pure breed Catahoula Leopard and two cats, Pumpkin and Muffin, who don't hesitate to keep the family in line.
In her spare time Kylie enjoys playing lawn bowls and has represented Manawatu.
Annie is a local from Manawatu, who spent time working in Napier before joining the team at Terrace End/ Palmerston North.
She has a very spoilt seal point Birman called Panda and two elderly pet sheep.
On weekends you will find Annie out motorcycling on her Ducati Monster 1100.
I completed my Bachelor Degree in Vet Technology at Massey University in 2016 and continued on to complete my Zoology degree in 2017, which is something I’m extremely passionate about. I’ve worked for 2 years as a pharmacy technician in Singapore before deciding to do a career switch to veterinary care in 2013. I like working with cats, dogs, pocket pets and reptiles. I have a 6 year old rabbit named Sunshine who loves to show off her ninja skills whenever she can. She would do absolutely anything for food and loves doing binkies around the house when she is extremely happy. Outside of work, I like to go on treks, like to dance and usually like to end my day with a good book.
